Please join us this Wednesday, February 21 at 7:30 PM in Beall Hall for an evening of the ensemble known as “East Meets West,” led by Ustad Shafaat Khan. Ustad Khan will begin with a classical set on sitar joined on tabla by Sundaresan Venkatesan. Later in the program, he will introduce some fusion with guitarist Coco Bastien. It promises to be an evening to remember! Tickets available at the UO box office or at the door: $12 / $8 (students and seniors)

Ustad Khan will also offer a workshop at noon about collaborating with the sitar earlier that day, February 21, at noon in the Tykeson Room in Berwick Hall. Learn about tunings, techniques, and rhythms that will help musicians of all stripes interact with this remarkable instrument!
